FacelessBand is a musical movement that was founded by music producers Tshepo 205 and Muchacho Kinn Timo. An effort to create albums through which they will unearth and introduce exceptional musical talent to the world. Launched in early 2020 with a mission to create a platform and a musical brand that is synonymous with high sonic quality and musical artistry, the duo plans to release the first album in 2021.
The founding members, Nkululeko Nkosi AKA Muchacho Kinn Timo and Tshepo Leshomo AKA Tshepo205 are entrepreneurs who are seasoned media professionals that recognized a gap in the market of talented artists who lack resources and a network to realize their dreams. The couple has worked on several productions and entrepreneurial exploits; and also have a deep understanding of the music environment and media industry, having worked at Tuerk Music Technologies, SABC, and various broadcasters.
The first album features colorful rhythmic texture, warm melodic landscapes accompanied by exceptional vocal talents with an impressive range of tones. With the soulful raspy tone of Tee-Jay, the classical and jazzy urban timber of King Kai; and the sensual nostalgic and dreamlike voice of Bunny Majaja… the album is a well-balanced musical showcase.
